What Does It Mean To Be CatholicFIT?

Core Workout & Stretching Principles

CatholicFIT was created for two reasons:

  1. To come together as a community and explore the faith and fitness connection – I believe in this “trinity” of faith, family and fitness as each one lends strength to the others. We all have the goal of living a “healthy lifestyle”, why not use this lifestyle approach to strength our family and community, and to learn about one’s faith, in particular, the genius of Catholicism.
  2. To offer good fitness to the Catholic community – every human has the right to learn how to take care of his or her body, yet as PE curriculums and other health services are shrinking, we are losing the health and fitness battle. We hope to continue partnering with schools and health care systems to develop programs and resources to help people of all ages and stages of life to move, feel and play better.

Please join us on Saturday, April 23rd at Trinity High School, otherwise, sign up for our email for program updates and fitness tips.

Dear Mr Reddy,
Our family agrees with you about Faith and fitness. My 16 year old son is studying fitness as a high school science this year. Are you ever in the Houston Area so he could speak with you? Do you recommend any not to be missed books/articles for a young boy studying your passion? Thank you!

Hey Jennifer, thank you for your message … to best answer your question, (and I will follow you up through email as well) is your son particularly interested in going into fitness, maybe as a career, or just interested in getting into an exercise routine for himself, or both? Is it the faith and fitness connection he is checking out as well? I am not in your area in the foreseeable future, but can send you some ideas and direction including books, other resources or people in your area who you and he could consult with. Thanks again.
