About Dave

As a university Exercise Science director and instructor, and fitness trainer, I have over twenty five years of experience in personal training, physical therapy, health, weight Loss, and athletic performance coaching. I developed CatholicFIT to intertwine my fitness practice with what I hope to be a personal and accessible approach to teach, learn and discuss the history, theology, traditions, people, and divine beauty of the Catholic Church.

One’s faith and fitness precedes and informs everything else in life. Faith gives our lives and actions meaning. Faith without action is dead, (James 2:17) and fitness allows us to physically act on that purpose. Yet, teaching people to embrace and practice their faith identity and personal fitness are being under-prioritized. With God’s grace, we hope to change that.

Professional Background

Dave is a fitness expert specializing in movement and strength centered around developing “everyday strength and orthopedic durability” through the lens of longevity. He helps people move better and do more in the short time we are blessed to be here in this life. He developed CatholicFIT when witnessing too many people pursue fitness goals with no apparent meaning or purpose to their goals, or even their lives. Dave hopes to help people establish a strong Catholic faith identity, learn to care for their temple of the Holy Spirit, and ultimately get fit to serve others.
